Black Bean Brownies (Gluten Free)
Gluten free, Dairy free, Soy free, Sugar free
These are flourless brownies made with pureed black beans! Sound strange, but they are scrumpdelicious! My kids even liked them. Because of the higher protein and fiber from the beans they are more satisfying than regular brownies that make you feel like you want to keep eating more and more.
1 (15 ½ ounce) cans black beans ( rinsed and drained)
3 eggs (free range)
3 tablespoons grape seed oil
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 pinch sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
approx. 2/3 cup maple syrup
Mix ingredients together in a blender/food processor until pureed. Pour into a greased 8x8 cake pan. Stir in some chocolate chips and nuts, or leave plain. (I left them plain and they were yummy). Bake at 350 F for approximately 30 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting. I think they taste better the next day.
