  • Dr. Heather has been practicing since 1995. Prior to this she attended National College of Naturopathic Medicine and achieved a naturopathic physicians (ND) degree. The training for an ND is similar to that of a medical doctor. They have 4 years of biological sciences, clinical and physical diagnostic training, and all of the specialties. They have specialty training in homeopathy, nutrition, herbology, pharmacognacy, and pharmacology. During the last 2 years they serve in an externship role working under practicing physicians. This is similar to a medical doctor’s internship role except it is performed in an outpatient facility. Once they graduate they have state level board exams that must be passed, and they have clinical hours that must be met on a yearly basis.

After your first initial appointment you will typically be scheduled for a follow up visit sometime in the next couple of months in order to go over any lab or test results with the doctor and further evaluate your health needs and goals. Some patients may need more frequent appointments depending on their treatment plan.

Some factors that will influence the healing process are the severity of your condition, how active of a role you are willing to take in your health, your lifestyle and habits, and your commitment to care.
