Dr. Heather Boyd-Roberts, ND

Dr. Heather Boyd-Roberts views your symptoms differently than a traditional medical doctor. Your body is an interconnected work of art and each piece impacts the next. It is important to evaluate you as a whole, not parts that are disconnected, in order to identify and treat the root cause of what is driving your symptoms. Using medication to hide your symptoms does not correct the problem. She identifies the roots of your disease and your risk factors using both traditional (blood, urine, imaging) and functional testing that looks for weakened or overloaded systems, not just disease states. Imbalances or weaknesses will appear long before a disease manifests. Once the problem has been identified, she will work with you to guide you in making mutual decisions about the steps to take to improve your health, whether your desire is symptom control or wellness enhancement. Treatment is done using as natural means as possible, but when necessary, in cases of high risk conditions, pharmaceuticals may be prescribed. You will find Dr. Heather truly cares about your health, is a good listener and is tenacious in her search to identify what is wrong and how to correct it in order to help you not only feel better, but be healthier for yourself and your loved ones…

Bethany Ziesemer

Office Manager

I was born and raised here in the Pacific Northwest and I am in constant awe that I get to live in such a beautiful place. When I am not working here at A Natural Choice I am running a professional photography business with my husband Aaron, spending time with family, or getting outdoors and going on adventures.

I have had a myriad of different chronic health issues from a young age and I have spent a lot of time in and out of doctor's offices, getting various tests done and trying many different treatments and medications. While traditional allopathic doctors have many benefits, my personal experiences with that route of medicine has been full of many trials and A LOT of errors. It wasn't until I started researching and learning about natural medicine and alternative therapies and treatments that I found any success and healing in my health journey. While I still have a long ways to go (and I believe health is just that- a journey - with bumps along the road) I am very grateful for the world of natural medicine and doctors whose goals are to look at the body as a whole, not just physically but mentally and spiritually as well, and to get down to the root cause of the symptoms.

All of these things make me so grateful to be able to work here at A Natural Choice and be a part of a clinic that cares about patients and truly desires to see long lasting change and wellness in each person.

Oli Kravchenko
Administrative Assistant

I moved to Vancouver from a small village in Ukraine at 7 years old, where we had all kinds of farm animals and grew our own food. Although moving countries was a huge change, I love this beautiful area, especially in the summer. One of my favorite things to do is to take walks in the forest by my house, and it has made a huge impact on the way my body and mind feel. I was working in the conventional medical field, but when I got the opportunity to come work with the team at A Natural Choice, I was excited at the chance to join people on their journeys of natural healing, as this aligned more with my values, and with what I had found to be most helpful for myself as well. As someone who has struggled with chronic illness from the age of 12, I found no answers in conventional medicine, and after being told by many doctors that they could not find any cause for the constant pain and fatigue I felt, I began to research natural medicine, and became very interested in the topic. After implementing what I learned, I was able to get back to a state of being able to function and go about my daily tasks successfully. I feel very blessed to be a part of this wonderful team of caring and compassionate people, and I find a lot of joy in my daily interactions with our patients. I love seeing our patients come in feeling better than they were when I last saw them, and hearing what has worked for them on their journey to wellbeing, as I continue on mine.
