Steel Cut Oat Waffles

Wheat free, Dairy free

In this episode we make Steel Cut Oat waffles. This recipe is not gluten free if you use regular oats. Just a precaution.

Put first three ingredients into blender cup and put in refrigerator to soak overnight:
2 cups steel cut oats
2 cups almond milk
cup plain whole milk yogurt

In the morning add also to blender cup:

tsp salt
tsp cinnamon
2 tblsp brown sugar
4 tblsp butter
1 tsp baking powder
cup ground flax seeds
2 eggs

Blend all of the ingredients together.

Preheat waffle iron and pour cup batter for each waffle.

Cook for approximately 6 minutes.

Top with your favorite topping such as real maple syrup, jam, fresh fruit, or yogurt.
